In June 2022, my sister, mom, and I visited Madeira, Portugal. Starting in Funchal, we explored the vibrant "Mercado dos Lavradores", admired the panoramic views from the "Monte", and wondered around the port. Our next stop was Câmara de Lobos, a picturesque coastal town, which was perhaps the highlight of the trip. From there, we traveled by boat to Ribeira Brava, where we were beautiful natural landscapes and one very touristic restaurant that we avoided. Next, we visited Ponta do Sol which has a beautiful beach and from there we went to "Cascata dos Anjos". One day we even saw the sunrise from "Pico do Areeiro". In Santana, we visited the typical houses before ending our journey with visits to Seixal and Ponta do Pargo, where we saw stunning coastlines and beautiful nature
In May 2023, my mom, sister, boyfriend, and I visited Paris. While we mostly strolled through its charming streets, we also visited some famous tourist spots like the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, Jardin du Luxembourg, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and, of course, the Eiffel Tower.
Last summer I went on my most extensive trip yet. It lasted approximatly a month and I visited numerous countries: Austria, Serbia, Montenegro and Albania. I started my journey in Vienna, were I was impressed by the grandiosity of the buildings. Next stop: Serbia. I arrived in the early hours of the morning after an overnight bus ride. The contrast between the modern and old parts of the city was striking, and I couldn't help but feel intrigued by its history. Montenegro was next on my list, so I hopped on a train and went to Podgorica. I found Podgorica to be surprisingly charming. The city was full of life and music. Crossing into Albania was like stepping into a whole new world. From the ancient streets of Shkodër to the vibrant capital of Tirana, each stop along the way revealed a different side of this fascinating country. Being there for so long and visiting the two bunkart's allowed me to better understand the history of this country. Berat or "the city of a thousand windows" was also stunning and magical. And so was the old city of Gjirokaster. Exploring Albania was an incredible journey: the people were warm, the culture rich, and the nature breathtaking.
